International Beauty Therapist Certification

The International Beauty Therapist Certification is the world’s most prestigious qualification in the field of Esthetics and Beauty Therapy. It is comparable to a master’s degree in academics – it is the highest degree an esthetician can obtain, and carries a similar level of prestige. Diplomats are certified to practice nationally and internationally without applying for any further licensing. The examination complies with Europe’s much stricter licensing standards, incorporating medical and scientific education as well as lymphatic massage, the anatomy of skin, product chemistry, and other advanced topics. 

Diplomats will also receive advanced training in massage, esthetics and manicuring and are able to obtain three separate licenses in these areas of study in addition to their International Beauty Therapist Certification.

For Diplomats who do not plan on practicing internationally, the International Beauty Therapist Certification provides an edge in a competitive field, making the candidate much more attractive to prospective employers. The knowledge gained through the studies leading to the exam will provide a deeper understanding of esthetics, increasing the value they can offer clients, thus increasing their earning potential.

The Examination

The exam takes a full day and consists of three elements:

• Technical (hands-on) - body and skin sections, as well as one additional subject
• Written Exam
• Thesis Paper (prepared in advance, at least 4,000 words, topics will be provided at the training seminar
