Infant Massage Workshop – Monday, May 14th

The benefits of massage start as an infant and continue throughout one’s life. Join us on Monday, May 14th at 5:30pm for a one-hour long workshop where parents will experience hands on training for how to properly massage your infant. Walk The Ward – Sunday, April 22nd – 2pm

KIDS NEED CLEAN WATER. This walk extends six kilometers, symbolic of the average distance women in developing countries walk each day to collect water for their families. We encourage you to pledge or donate for this important cause.

Earth Month reVISIONed Fashion Show – Friday, April 20th

Every April we join the Aveda network to raise money for clean water in conjunction with Earth Month. This year, we have again joined forces with the Alliance for The Great Lakes (www.greatlakes.org) and hope to raise $12,400 to help clean the water in our very backyard. While we have many events throughout the month, our fashion show is one of the largest as we have joined forces with local establishments to create an evening of fashion and charity. Tickets are available for purchase in-store and by contacting Guest Services at 414.227.2889 (VIP Reserved Seating Tickets – $25 | General Admission Tickets – $10 in-advance or $15 at-the-door). Silent Auction items will close upon conclusion of this event.

Cash Bar provided by Cafe Benelux. Printed materials provided by CityPress. Hair and make up partners include Beauty, Fabrizio Capelli, Neroli Salon & Spa and more. Clothing provided by Five Hearts, Luci Boutique, White Star, Francesca’s Collections and more.

Free Yoga on Fridays (Saturdays starting March 31)

Whether you are an avid yoga goer or someone looking to incorporate balance into your routine, the yoga classes at The Institute of Beauty and Wellness are a great way to start as classes are currently free. This limited time offer is in place in conjunction with earth month, as at each class guests will be welcome to make a donation in any denomination to benefit the Alliance for the Great Lakes. For the month of March classes will be available on Fridays and starting on March 31st classes will be held on Friday at 9:30am, 11:00am and 1:00pm and on Saturday at 9:00am. Friday classes will be concentrate on Hatha Yoga and Saturdays will be a Vinyasa Flow Yoga concentration.

IBW Students Help Tennor High School Donate to Pantene Beautiful Lengths

Last week, students from one of our cosmetology classes traveled, Aveda supplies in hand, to Tennor High School for a special assembly showcasing four brave students and a teacher donating their hair to Pantene’s Beautiful Lengths program.

Beautiful Lengths is a partnership between Pantene and the American Cancer Society. Thanks to volunteers like these students, they have donated thousands of free, real-hair wigs to women living with cancer. Created and funded by Pantene, these wigs are distributed through select American Cancer Society wig banks banks across the country

The Institute of Beauty and Wellness is opening its doors on Wednesday, December 7th for a Holiday Open House.
